Knowledge of sourcing governance will benefit customer-supplier relationship
The Education Practice of Quint Wellington Redwood has introduced a new training course, Sourcing Governance Foundation. The Sourcing Governance Foundation course, including training, reading material and examination is designed to teach the basic knowledge and key concepts of sourcing governance.
The training and qualification scheme is aimed at those professionals within either the customer or supplier side within the sourcing governance function of (outsourced) IT services.
The interactive approach, a combination of lecture, discussion and Best Practices, prepares participants for the independent Sourcing Governance Foundation exam and ensures its applicability in practice.
Experience shows that a good sourcing governance function is only possible if the stakeholders are fully familiar with the main principles and concepts of sourcing governance. For a truly successful customer-supplier relationship, this knowledge in both business organization and in the organization of the IT service provider(s) is needed.
Maurice Boon, Managing Partner at Quint Wellington Redwood: "Nowadays management must be especially competent in managing commercial relationships, contracts and controlling/coordinating the suppliers. This as a result of the current trend of outsourcing IT services. Professionals who want to increase their knowledge of sourcing governance can achieve greater success with the Best Practices provided by the Sourcing Governance Foundation training. Quint is delighted to be one of the first training organizations to support this new training initiative and looks forward to providing real value to the industry in this area."
